Amblyopia or mata malas..

hye everyone..how're u? cik sara sonok rini, kelas abes kol 11.30..yeay! klau tak hri2 balik 4.30, huu what a tiring sem..with loads of homework, mean less time blogging..less time commenting other blogs but i still enjoying blogwalking though..by the way...~

okkayh..referring to the above pictures, i cant do dat..any of u cannot do dat too? if yes, u better check ur eyes..today i want to share with all of u an imparment dat i have..erm, it is not a disease, an impairment.. it is not too serious unless u do not notice it..like i did..huu..when i notice it, its already too late n it's almost impossible to cure it....waa..mcm fatally plak bunyinye kn..Amblyopia ye..or people usually call it as mata malas..

What is Amblyopia?

Amblyopia, commonly known as lazy eye, is the eye condition noted by reduced vision not correctable by glasses or contact lenses and is not due to any eye disease. The brain, for some reason, does not fully acknowledge the images seen by the amblyopic eye. This almost always affects only one eye but may manifest with reduction of vision in both eyes. It is estimated that three percent of children under six have some form of amblyopia.  (im in that 3%..huuu..how unlucky..)

the pic above is what a person with normal eyes would see, but its not the same when u have an Amblyopic eye..

diagnosis for Ambylopia

Since amblyopia usually occurs in one eye only, many parents and children may be unaware of the condition. Far too many parents fail to take their infants and toddlers in for an early comprehensive vision examination and many children go undiagnosed until they have their eyes examined at the eye doctor's office at a later age. 

(huu..termasuk sy la ni..inilah padahnye bila ade sedara mara yg keje nurse kat spital ke...evrytime kna wat medical check up, never check properly, she straight away bring the form to the doctor, saying her niece is perfectly healthy n the doctor straight away signed the form..dulu i was happy with dat, yela..process yg org len tggu berjam2 nk wat medical check up, cik sara 5 minit jek dh leyh balik..but now, menyesal pn ade, if i check my eyes properly in early age, i wud have detected the lazy eyes n its more easier to treat..)

Treatment of Amblyopia

Early treatment is usually simple, employing glasses, drops, Vision Therapy, and/or eye patching.(gmbar kat atas ni is eye patching) While detection and correction before the age of two is considered to offer the best outcomes, recent scientific research has disproven the long held belief that children over seven years old can not be successfully treated. but i also read that its almost impossible to cure an adult with Amblyopia..

nevertheless..until now i've been surviving Amblyopia for almost 21 years..Alhamdulillah okkay2 jek..my Amblyopic eye is the left one, n my right eye is perfectly normal..i only know this when i'd finally decided to wear a spectacle..sblum ni ngatkn mata kiri tak clear sbb rabun..mane la nk taw ape ke jadahnye Amblyopia tu kn.. then masa nk tentukn bape power mata kiri tu tokleh..segala jenis kanta cina tu dh try kat mata kiri, still tak clear..that's when he said 'aiyaa amoi..lu ade mata malas ni..'

terpromote nazwan skali..hehe..sorry, dats d only picture bertudung cik sara berspeckie..dye ni mmber 'berbincang' msa zmn LDV foundation years..hehe..tpi skang da kelas len dh lma tak wat aktiviti 'berbincang' itu..hee..bju matching n msa ni hri jumaat, bersongkok sakanla incik nazwan..mcm ustaz n ustazah tak? haha..

my spec is suppose to help my right eyes to see clearer (tp 50 je pn power..actually tade beza pakai ke tak..skrang mmg tak pakai dh pn..berhabuk spec tu) but it cannot do anything to the left one..i'd try to do dat patching thing (tutup mata yg elok n guna Amblyopic eye..kira cam tanak bgi dye malas dhla..)..it turns out to be a veeery tiring activity..berpeluh sakan haa..n less motivated when i know that it's almost impossible for an adult to cure Amblyopia..huu..Despite of dat fact, so far, i dun have any problem reading, driving, studying or anything..im just praying hard that even if it cant be cure permenantly, please let my right eyes to be good as it is now..huhu..

moral of the story, never neglected the importance of medical check up..n for future references, check mata anak2 anda or adik2 anda or ur nephews and nieces before they're 7 years old, okkayh..there's also a possibility that Amblyopia is hereditory yet, its nothing to worry about if it's detected in the early age..its curable..

Assalamualaikum n hye everyone..camne weekend? hope u guys had a great one..mine? hurmm..biasa2 aje..ade yg sedih ade yg happy..okkayh, the premier show of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince will be on July 16..im going to watch..definitely! with these two beautiful housmates of mine..

yg lgi 4 org tu tak tawla nk ikut ke tak..maklumlah ktorg 3 org jek die hard fan harry..still remmber the last movie, sume org bising tak fhm cite except cik pidot n yanot..(termasuk sy ye..masa tu tak start bc novel HP lgi)..i read those novels during holidays after foundation..skang da ade sume 7 series of J.K.Rowling's..

ohho..okkayh..i tipu jek..only the last two are mine..the rest belong to my brother..hehe..personally, i like most, prisoner of azkaban (the only one Voldermort tak muncul n paradoxically the enemy, Sirius Black, turns out to be the good guy..shuke..), and the last one, deathly hollow..(great conclusion with all the secrets revealed..and the rise in character of Neville Longbottom n Severus Snape..huu sgt ironi..n i like ironic story..hehe)

i really thank my brother actually, msa tu ngah kemas2 bilik dye then jupe la novel tu..sbb masa tu cuti n tade pe nk wat, amekla baca..Gosh! i fall in love straight away..i never read a novel wid dat kind of attraction, from one to another..i finish all those 5 novels in just a week..so damn addicted and keep wondering when will the sequence be published..then during last year book fair, trosla grab n win the last two sequels..syiok3..cant wait to watch the sequel this 16..hope to be much2 better than the last one..sblum ni nye sgtla boring..picca2 from half-blood prince..~

the title is significantly taken from this book which belong to the half blood prince..

the unique ending..the climax is at the end of the story..the death of Albus Dumbledore, killed by the unexpected guy..hoho..trust me, by the end of this book, u'll definitely craving for Harry Potter n the Deathly Hollow to know what really happen..

my personal opinion, sape yg tak bc lgi novel, takyahla tgk sbb payah nk fhm nti..trust me..i've been there, watching Harry Potter n the Order of the Phoenix without reading the novel..total blurr..huk3..

first week at school~

Assalamualaikum n hye everyone..sehat2 tak sume ni..di kala H1N1 is becoming a pandemic disease, do concern of your health taw..okkayh, now i want to share titbits of my first week at school..~

• lots and lots of work definitely..most of the subjects got 70% assignments marks and only 30% for the exam..or 100% assignments and no exam..means that less time blogging more time studying..hoho..??
• some of the lecturers never teach me before so quite uncertain of their expectation, way of teaching and all, means that have to familiarize myself with them.
• timetable?? uhuk..only on Monday the class starts at 9, the rest of the week, starts at 8 and mostly until 4.30..means, more free time at the college, might use dat time for assignments and library, yet, fuhhh, tiring...~~

despite all the whining, they're not the reason to give up, but to stay strong and give the bestest in me..wahh! semangat kononnye..hik3..okkayh, some kodak momentos~~

this sem handbook..in blue...shuke3..we got everything in here, the syllabus, timetable, lecturers name, phone num, test dates, almost everything about this semester academic thing..i wonder how we'll survive without the lecturers preparing this for us in UM later on..hoho..

during Math session, we played tangram, its the oldest chinese puzzle game..where there are 7 pieces of paper that had been cut out from a square, then we need to form new pictures from all the pieces..check out some of the creative items from my friends..

Hye everyone..so, hows ur weekend? splendid i hope..surely for the IPG students (elaun bru masuk kn...)..everyone has been talking about shoping, buying this getting that..ohoho..sakan masing2 ek..well, as for me, today i went to watch Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen..

i've been longing to watch it since im still in my hometown..n today the hall was full from the front row until the end..unbelievable..n what people had been saying were so true, its an amazing story..much2 better than the first sequel..bape bntang bgi? hrmm out of 5? 5 n half boleh? ehe..shukeeee...since the beginning till the end, i didnt turn my head from the screen at all, craving for more..especially when bumblebee comes into action..owh..he's so cute doing the crying..hehe..n what he did to alice, the girl who tried to seduce Sam, haha served her right! what i love the most about bumblebee is when it tried to do the talking since his vocal cord was damaged during the war..dude! sumtimes silence is golden but most of the time words confirmed everything aite..for your information, A real life bumblebee is a member of the bee genus, Bombus, in the family Apidae. There are over 250 known species, existing primarily in the Northern Hemisphere. hehe..so cheap n yana kept telling me dat its worth it..really is a great value..yela..kiranye a book is approximately around 20 something only...any of u ever read those books?please tell me they're amazing..huucik sara budget nk jadi ulat bulu..eh! ulat buku laaa....kih3..n during the holidays i've been reading Cecelia Ahern's PS I Love You...best! so why not just have another collection of her novels kn..so much to gain from reading books, style of writing, vocabulary sometimes they're motivating stories too..so, i think i did the right thing to buy the books kn?

Assalamualaikum w.b.t. all...finally, im back in KL..hehe..new term will start next week, a part of me damn excited to see whats been installed for us this sem yet another part of me doomed to think of the no-more-goyang-kaki time after this..

1. How do you describe your ownself?
I'm sensitive in any way (girls usually did aite? eehe)..but if u know how to 'humour' me, i can be extendibly flexible, as long as the reasons can be rationalised, i've no problem to cope and cooperate..sometimes absurd in expressing myself but most of the time too reserve to even say a word cause afraid of the consequences to my surroundings n my ownself..hrmm definitely many rooms of improvement in me~~

2. What is your main passion right now?
main passion? ermm..i guess to have better life, academically, personally..(sengih sorang2..haha)

3. What are your biggest hobbies/interests?
okkayh if im here, with excess to the net, i love surfing the net..i can go online and ignore whatever that happened in this house completely..haha..if im home, music is soothing, especially those with beautiful lines..i can listen to songs and 'drowned' in it..

4. Where do you usually socialize with your friends? (online and onground)
hang out..anywhere possible, usually at any shopping malls..if im at my hometown hrmm...kat buaian bwh umah..berangin gitu..syiok..hehe..

5. Who has the biggest influence on you and your life?
my late dad..miss him..

6. Who is your idol (celebrity, scientist, politician, etc.)? Why do you like them?
hrmm..i idolise my mom..always...even she's not a celebrity, scientist or anything, she's always been my role model, very patient, very tolerant and knew precisely what should be done..grateful with whatever she got, appreciate n use them wisely..whining (well, she's human too aite) but she still gives her best in everything she's doing..hope to be strong like her..

7. Where do you usually go shopping? How much do you spend shopping a month?
shoping? hrmm im not a shopaholic kinda girl..only when i really need it but as far as im concern, base on my own observation, i go for shoes n tops, blouses maybe..how much i spend? depends..

8. Tell me your top 3 wishes (your hopes and aspirations).
a.i really want to improve myself, personally, academically, attitude n whatever that's necessary to become a better person in whole.
b.since most of my cats are missing (g kuar mengawan n tak balik2)..huu i just wish to have more cats at home like those old days when i get to sleep with a cat in my arm..haha...weird wish kn..
c. hrmm..i wish to find my soulmate..who'll accept me the way i am just as i did..
